Hello to my fellow health nerds!
This is the space where you will find meaty scientific nourishment, outside the physical nourishment of Taking the Hell out of Healthy.
I love this section, and find our body’s chemistry utterly enchanting. I hope you will too.
The health of our mitochondria comes up alarmingly often, across all medical disciplines. We are each walking around with a massive energy industry inside us. I don’t find this an easy subject, but it is of vital importance if we are to deepen our understanding of the human body and its bewitching capabilities.
And I really do mean bewitching - I am ceaselessly engrossed in what our biology can achieve both consciously and subconsciously. (I am also the type of person who can become speechless staring at a stalk of broccoli, wildly applauding its plant-powered genius, its soil and its environment. I am in a near-constant state of awe).
Below are some excellent academics and scientists to keep you company while you are stuck in traffic, or going for a gloriously long walk. Think of them as cheerleaders on your journey to optimum health.
And if you missed some of the past Data Freaks & Health Geek posts, here’s a handy recap for rainy days:

Now, shall we? Onwards to mitochondria! …
Enjoy,
