Friends, yogis, gym bunnies, beauty nerds, and kitchen fireflies,
I have a supremely healthy, deeply satisfying, juicy, tonsil-tooting smoothie for you. I designed it with, well, me in mind.
But if, like me, you are hankering after summer skin, collagen mass production (yes please!), anti-inflammatory wizardry, strong muscle and tissue, and/or total deliciousness, then you too will love this tipple.
Sellotaping the recipe to your refrigerator door is a handy idea, not only for post-gym hydration and repair, but for when those pesky sugar cravings hit at anytime during the day. I find that home-made smoothies can naturally displace some of the less nutritious food we catch ourselves reaching for (crisps, biscuits, cakes and sodas). So it’s a double win!
Having stores of frozen mango at the ready is half the job! (Easily sourced in the freezer section of most supermarkets, including the four-letter German one). Our energy levels will definitely benefit from these small changes, without feeling any tastebud tax.
Besides, mangoes are crazy delicious. They're practically quivering with vitamin C, an important ally to summer skin. There are modest amounts of vitamin B6 in there too. This vitamin helps us manufacture our happy hormone, serotonin. Not that you're going to need more happiness after your first taste of this smoothie!
